After installing the "AbaClock 2" / "AbaClock 3" app, you need to close all open Apps completely before using the Reader. Press the Home button of the iPad twice. Now you can swipe upwards to close them completely.
Next, make sure that Bluetooth is activated on the device and that the app is allowed access. Bluetooth is activated in the iOS app "Settings" under "Bluetooth". Bluetooth access for the app is allowed under "AbaClock 2" or "AbaClock 3".
Then connect the NFC Reader and wait a moment until it has initialized. The reader is ready for use as soon as it flashes 3 times.
Note
The Reader must be connected to power to function. This is especially important if the power is sometimes temporarily switched off.
Then activate the setting "Open settings at next start" in the settings of the iOS App "Settings" > "AbaClock 2" / "AbaClock 3" before you start "AbaClock 2"/"Abaclock 3".
The settings of "AbaClock 2" / AbaClock 3" will be displayed when the app is opened. In the "NFC Reader" catalogue, you can now search for and connect the Reader.
Note
If the NFC Reader should later lose its connection to AbaClock or should it not react when badging, please proceed as follows:
- Check if the Reader is connected to power.
- If necessary, disconnect the reader in the settings of the AbaClocK app in the "NFC Reader" catalogue.
- Then close all apps and reconnect the Reader as described above.
